Royal Virginian: WoodFuels Virginia is the manufacturer of premium 100% pine equine bedding pellets under the brand name Royal Virginian. Our company practices sustainable forestry and has total care, control and custody of the wood used in our pellets from harvest to final product. We do not use any byproducts, sawdust or recycled wood. Our pellets are made from wood chips after the whole logs are brought to our facility for debarking and chipping. The chips are then dried at temperatures of between 600 and 800 degrees which kills bacteria, removes potential allergens and stops out gassing of phenols and hydrocarbons that may irritate your horses. The chips are resized and screened three times during the pelletizing process to minimize dust, making our product virtually dust free. Royal Virginian believes our product is far superior to others not only because of the care we take in selecting the wood used to make our pellets, but also because of our technologically advanced pelletizing process. We value and understand how much care and pride you take in your horse. That’s why at Royal Virginian, we take the same care and pride in creating our product for your horse.
